As we proceed with teaching and learning activities, it is important to note that there have been several interruptions to the semester, resulting in quite a few teaching and learning days being lost. In response, the UWI-Mona has made the following adjustments to the teaching and assessment schedule for Semester One 2025-2026:

• Teaching will end on Thursday, November 27th
• The Study Week will begin on Friday, November 28th and end on Thursday, December 4th
• Final Assessments will be administered from Friday, December 5th to Tuesday, December 23rd
• Semester One will end on Tuesday, December 23rd.

These adjustments to the schedule were necessary to ensure students are settled and have sufficient time to prepare for final assessments, to support their success. Students who have been severely impacted by the passage of Hurricane Melissa and are unable to participate in final assessments are asked to contact the Office of the Deputy Principal by email at odp.monaappeals@uwimona.edu.jm or by WhatsApp at (876) 577-7631 to discuss available options.

Further adjustments will be made in relation to the teaching and assessment schedule at the Western Jamaica Campus and these details will be shared at a later date.
